On September 20, 2016 in News

I want to thank everyone who attended our 27th Annual Chapter Fundraiser on April 2, 2016.  We increased our attendance by 20% compared to last year to a Chapter record of 170.  Our gross revenue increased by 21% over last year to $74,955, another record for our Chapter Fundraiser.  We signed up 36 new members.

Our Bucket Raffle was bigger and better.  It consisted of 31 items with an average value of $194.  Our Silent Auction had 38 items valued at $8,190 that sold for $4,885.  Like last year, this was our 40% off sale.

Our Live Auction was similar to last year with 24 Items selling for $39,875.  Look at these bargains:
1.  5 day 5 night Missouri whitetail bow hunt valued at $5,190 was bought for $2,000.

With the great support of our members, we are able to contribute to the youth hunting and shooting activities and conservation in Arkansas.  We are proud to support our veterans with our Arkansas Warrior Project.  Our contribution to these groups was as follows:

1.  Arkansas Hunters Feeding the Hungry – $1,500.
2.  Avilla Shooting and Archery Sports – 750.
3.  Saline County Shooting Sports – 750.
4.  North Little Rock Charging Wildcats – 750.
5.  Ark. Youth Hunter Education Challenge – 2,250.
6.  Arkansas Warrior Project – 6,850.

As required by SCI, we sent 30% of our net proceeds, $9,458.00, to Safari Club International.

Our fiscal year is from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017.  We have increased our budget by 15% for the current year.
