Newsletter October 2016
It’s that time again. No, I’m not talking about modern gun season for deer opening November 12 or duck season which opens November 19. I’m talking about voting November 8 for the person who will lead this great nation for the next four years. That person must believe in protecting our Constitution, and must believe in the founding Fathers original intent. That person must believe that the Second Amendment to the U. S. Constitution is an individual right. A person who will appoint Supreme Court Judges who have the same beliefs. It is our duty to VOTE.
I want to thank everyone who attended our April 2 Fundraiser for their generous support. We had a great time and raised lots money to support our projects. As you may recall, we had a special raffle to provide a hunt for our “Arkansas Warrior”. Kenneth Buchanan was selected as our Arkansas Warrior for 2016. Chapter member Larry Rider arranged the hunt with Buck-N-Buffalo Ranch and guided the hunt. Mounting of the trophies will be provided by Fin-Feather-n-Fur Taxidermy in Jacksonville. You can read Kenneth’s story here.
I would like to call your attention to our upcoming events. December 3, 2016 is our Christmas dinner at the Riverfront Steakhouse. You can find more information here.
I want to thank those members who have shared their hunting stories with me and all our members through this Newsletter. Without your stories, I have nothing to write about. I am particularly interested in those of you who have bought hunts at our Fundraiser sharing your experience with us.
While I’m asking for your support of my Newsletter, your Board members are looking for members to assume leadership roles in our Chapter. Would you like to help us organize our Fundraiser? Set up displays? Suggest new projects or events? Help us get media attention? Contact Gary Acord at 501-944-3333 or email him for more information.
